Tire rotations should be performed at least 1 – 2 times a year, depending on how frequently you drive your car and the conditions in which you normally drive in. If you frequently drive through construction on a daily basis where the roads are bumpy and uneven, then tire rotations may be needed more often to ensure your tires are balanced and in line with one another. During the tire rotation, we can also check your tire pressure and fill them up, if needed. If your tire pressure is low, this may be an indication that you have a punctured or damaged tire, which could benefit from further maintenance.
Oil changes are a standard part of regular car maintenance. Having clean and fresh oil in your car ensures that it steers and turns smoothly, and the parts under the hood are functioning without scraping against one another. Fresh oil in the car helps lubricate and soften the surfaces between the motor and allows them to rotate smoothly. If your car is not given fresh oil or regular oil changes, this could be detrimental to your engine, causing it to eventually overheat, which can lead to extensive damage and a hefty repair bill. If you’re not sure when your car is due for an oil change, it’s best to have one performed anyway for safety reasons.
Brake pads are to be inspected annually as having faulty brake pads can lead to serious injury. when your brake pads are not functioning or functioning well, you may find it difficult to bring your car to an immediate or abrupt stop when driving. Brake pads left without maintenance can cause skidding, sliding, and fail to make complete stops where needed. This can result in injury, wrecks, and overall damage to your car. You can also inspect the condition of the brake pads on your own by looking at them through the holes in the floorboard of your car. If the pads appear worn or scratched, it may be time for some new ones.
During maintenance, battery inspections are performed to see how your battery is withstanding and if it is sufficiently charged. Sometimes clients may notice that their cars take longer to warm up or they’re having trouble starting them from time to time. This is likely the result of a dying battery, which should be replaced immediately once it has been found to be deteriorating. We test the car battery both in the on and off switch to determine its present condition and whether or not it may be in need of replacing.
